EAJ will support a forum consisting of regional and district judges in BRA. The forum will help judges to examine and address the current judicial limitations and challenges they face in their work and allow judges to exchange knowledge and experience on key barriers, lessons, pathways, and models for justice service delivery. It will enable judges to coordinate on common judicial issues and challenges. It will also allow judges from EAJ’s model court to share their experiences and talk about lessons learned from piloting certain activities that are geared to create a functioning and relevant court in Mogadishu.

In connection to the Judges’ Forum, EAJ will support the public outreach capacity of the Judiciary. EAJ engagements in the past have shown that there is a substantive lack of public awareness concerning the duties and functions of the court. Supporting the Judiciary in strengthening communication with the public will therefore add great value to access to justice expansion and help increase public trust in the Judiciary.
