EAJ partner SODEN hosted a radio talk show on the difficulties faced by girls with disabilities in Mogadishu. Often children with disabilities in Somalia do not have access to basic quality education compounding the challenges that they face as young disabled persons. SODEN’s radio discussion focused on the importance of access to basic education for children with disability and improve their level of quality education. Panel members advocated for state curriculum and private educational provisions for children with special needs and the fact that Somalia’s is without deaf sign language or Braille.
